Berkshire Bank Celebrates Being Part of the Mid-Atlantic Community

Donations, Week of Excitement, Random Acts of Excitement and Special Offers

PITTSFIELD, MA, April 4, 2017 – Berkshire Bank, America's Most Exciting Bank®, is excited to be a new neighbor in the mid-Atlantic region and say ‘thank you' to its loyal customers with community donations, a week of excitement from April 3-7 and special money saving offers during the month of April. Berkshire Bank acquired the former First Choice Bank and is dedicated to maintaining local leadership and flexible decision-making while providing its customers the strength and resources of a big bank.

As part of the celebrations, the eight new Berkshire branches nominated local nonprofits to receive funding. These nonprofits were chosen by Bank employees based on their close relationships with the organizations and the significant impact these organizations have on the community. The nonprofits will receive a total of $8,000 in funding and will be presented a check at their respective branch during the week of excitement include:

  • Lawrence Township Meals – Lawrenceville branch
  • City of Angels NJ – Mercerville branch
  • Robbinsville Education Foundation – Robbinsville branch
  • America Responds with Love – Horsham branch
  • Joshua Harr Shane Foundation – East Windsor branch
  • Yardley Fire Company – Yardley branch
  • Board of Commissioners South Brunswick Fire District 3 – Kingston branch
  • Hamilton A's Local – Hamilton branch
  • Visitation Home of Yardville – Hamilton branch

The week of excitement features a daily theme and will include giveaways and refreshments. In addition, during the month of April the Bank will offer money saving specials on money markets, certificates of deposit (CDs) and checking accounts. These events are open to the entire community, welcoming both customers and non-customers to visit their local branch and enjoy the festivities.

Berkshire Bank representatives will also show its appreciation for customers and communities by treating them to a special surprise at several random locations including The Weekday Café in Horsham, PA and Brother's Pizza on Rt. 33 in Trenton, NJ. By surprising and delighting its loyal customers and communities, the hope is to inspire people to do something nice for someone else.
