Bob Curley Selected As Albany Business Review"s Executive of the Year

Curley, New York Chairman of Berkshire Bank, has been selected as Albany Business Review’s Executive of the Year. This award is part of the annual Achievers recognition program that dates back to 1983. A well-known and highly respected banking executive and community leader, Mr. Curley is currently a director for Berkshire Hills Bancorp and New York Chairman of Berkshire Bank. In his role, Bob works with the Bank’s current leadership team to direct growth opportunities in the New York market. During his career, he has been president of eight banks including Citizens, Charter One and KeyBank. For the period 2005 to 2009, Curley served as Chairman and President for Citizens Bank in New York with approximately $20 billion in assets and more than 200 branches throughout the state. Prior to joining Citizens, Mr. Curley served at Charter One Bank where he was President for New York and New England. During the period of 1976 – 1999, Mr. Curley was employed by KeyCorp, where he rose to the position of Vice Chairman of KeyBank N.A., and served as President and CEO of four subsidiary banks.
