Berkshire Bank's Revolutionary Banking Comes to Boston

Celebrates Opening with Boston Legends and $10,000 Community Grants

Boston, MA, May 15, 2017 - Berkshire Bank announced the grand opening of its Boston branch at 121 Congress Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event took place on Wednesday, May 10 and featured its world-class, revolutionary banking experience. The event was ushered in by the following Boston Legends: Ray Bourque, NHL Hockey defenseman, and Boston Patriots Paul Revere and William Dawes from the National Lancers.

Ray Bourque, Berkshire Bank's spokesperson, surprised and delighted Bostonians by handing out free coffee from Sip Café at Post Office Square, courtesy of Berkshire Bank.

"Berkshire Bank is a lot like winning hockey; commitment and delivery is what the Bank is all about, and I was the same when playing with the Bruins," stated Ray Bourque.

Patriots Paul Revere and William Dawes, from the National Lancers, rode into City Hall Plaza on their horses, proclaiming, "The banking revolution has arrived!"

"Berkshire Bank is committed to Boston; the revolution has arrived and we are thrilled with the success of our first branch opening here in this great city," said Michael P. Daly, CEO of Berkshire Bank. "With many of our teams already calling Boston home, we already have over $2 million in deposits and $1.5 billion in loan volume."
