Guarino Brings Leadership, Community Involvement at the Highest Levels and Extensive Retail Banking Experience Continuing Berkshire's Momentum
Boston, MA – Berkshire Bank, headquartered in Boston, today announced the appointment of Carmine Guarino as Senior Vice President, Retail Branch Banking and market leader for the Bank's Greater Boston region. In this position, Guarino will work with Berkshire's Boston leadership team to develop market strategies for building client relationships with a strong community focus.

Carmine comes to Berkshire Bank with experience and resources to support Berkshire's continuing market growth and success in Eastern MA.
Prior to Berkshire Bank, Guarino spent 33 years at Citizens Bank holding senior leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President Retail and Business Banking. He was responsible for managing all retail branches and business banking teams in the Boston region, and played a role in developing and implementing CNN (Citizens Networking Now), a program focusing on increasing collaboration between the retail and commercial bank.
As a lifelong resident in Boston's North End, Guarino is active in his community. He serves as a board member of University of Massachusetts Center for Collaborative Leadership. He is a member of North End Waterfront Neighborhood Council and the Emerging Leaders Program. In addition, Carmine has hosted and produced an Italian Language radio program, which he began 31 years ago.
