Berkshire Bank Promotes Costello to EVP, Home Lending

PITTSFIELD, MA – March 29, 2016 - Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank®, is excited to announce that Allan Costello has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Home Lending and will join the Bank’s Executive team. 

Al has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry with expertise in risk management, compliance, accounting, internal audit and operations.  As EVP of Home Lending, Al will be responsible for the management and supervision of Berkshire Bank Home Lending Division and will serve as a member of the Executive Management Team. In his position Al will continue to lead the sales and operations functions of the Home Lending Division, which includes loan origination, underwriting, compliance, processing and servicing.  This promotion is a reflection of Al’s commitment, hard work and leadership.    

Al joined Berkshire Bank in 2011 and held the position of SVP, Audit before transitioning to the Home Lending Division. Prior to Berkshire Bank, Al’s career was focused in the financial field, including Director at Accume Partners, Divisional Vice President of Bank Protection at Charter One Bank and Chief Financial Officer at Rhinebeck Savings Bank.

Al holds a BBA in Accounting from Siena College and completed the American Bankers Association three year graduate banking program. His certifications include Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.  He resides with his family in Clermont, NY.
