Berkshire Bank Hosts All-Access Hockey Event for Parents and Kids

PITTSFIELD, MASS, February 18, 2015 – Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank®, sent eight winners to Boston to experience its Wicked Suite Hockey Contest on February 7, 2015.  Berkshire chauffeured the winners to and from Boston—with the help of Transport the People, a full-service limo transportation company.  The contest included: a behind-the-scenes tour of NESN’s broadcast truck and studios; a meet and greet with NESN’s broadcast team of Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley before the “Hockey Night in New England” broadcast; watching a game in NESN’s luxury suite; and a surprise meet and greet with Rob Ninkovich of the New England Patriots.

The contest was held by Berkshire Bank throughout New England, and offered a parent and child a chance to join the bank and NESN for an exciting all-access hockey game-day experience in Boston, Massachusetts.  Over 400 entries were collected at Berkshire’s branches and online—and the eight winners were randomly selected.

“Thank you Berkshire Bank for coordinating a lifetime experience for my son and me,” stated Adrianne Byrnes from Cheshire, CT who was accompanied by her son, Tristan. “We were spoiled by the bank’s and NESN’s topnotch hospitality—and will never view a game the same.”  Other contest winners from the Bank’s New England footprint included: Maryanne Hughes and her son, Landon from Middleboro, MA; David Burstein and his daughter, Laura from Longmeadow, MA; and Joseph Mason and his nephew, Brendan McKim from Somerville, MA.  The winners were accompanied by Berkshire Bank’s Michael Mirski, Vice President, Regional Manager – Pioneer Valley and Ryan Shorette, Vice President, Regional Manager – CT.

“Berkshire Bank was pleased to award the Wicked Suite Hockey Contest to these winners,” stated Tami Gunsch, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking. “We are passionate about helping our customers find, save and finance life’s exciting moments—and with NESN’s help, we were able to create a life-long memory for eight individuals.”

Berkshire Bank is the official bank of Boston Bruins coverage on NESN.  The agreement includes sponsorship of NESN’s “Hockey Night in New England” broadcast for the regular season and the playoffs in addition to online and digital promotion elements.  The partnership also features the Exciting Rewind Mortgage Contest during every Bruins game on NESN. The network’s analyst Andy Brickley breaks down game footage throughout the season during this segment to illustrate top plays.
