Berkshire Bank Grows Wealth Management Team in Capital Region

ALBANY, NY, April 9, 2015 – Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank®, is excited to announce that Kevin T. Smith has been hired to the role of Vice President and Wealth Advisor. In this position, Smith will be responsible for developing and maintaining personalized client relationships, trust administration, estate planning and comprehensive financial planning services in New York’s Capital Region.

Smith will be based out of Berkshire’s regional headquarters at 41 State Street, Albany, New York and will be available to customers throughout the Capital Region.  He has more than 11 years of experience in the New York market working with clients to develop customized solutions addressing their investment, trust and complex estate planning needs.

Prior to coming to Berkshire, Smith worked for Trustco Bank beginning in 2004 and most recently as a Trust Officer.  He received a B.A. from SUNY New Paltz and has completed the Cannon Trust School - Levels I, II and III.  He holds the CFP®, CDFA, and CTFA designations and has a NYS Life Accident & Health Insurance License.  Smith is also a board member of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern NY and the Schenectady Community Home.
